Message of congratulation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha by Mullah Agha Jan Mutasim

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

That was why We wrote for the Children of Israel that whoever killed a soul, except for a soul slain, or for sedition in the earth, it should be considered as though he had killed all mankind; and that whoever saved it should be regarded as though he had saved all mankind. Our Messengers brought them proofs; then many of them thereafter commit excesses in the earth.

!Dear Momin fellow countrymen

I heartily felicitate you, the brave Afghans, the families of martyrs, those (theyoung) lost their lives for the freedom and defense of our beloved country, on the blessed Eid al-Adha, and I wish to convey my genuine congratulations and best wishes to you all. Unluckily, our Momin nation is, yet again, observing the festival of Eid ul Adha at a time when most of the families are still grieving over the recent tragic loss of their loved ones and celebrating the joys of the Eid in tears much the same way as the previous Eid festivals. I pray that Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted)  grant the victims of Shah Shaheed bloody tragedy and other incidents across the country best place in Jannatul-Firdaus (heaven) and wish the wounded a speedy recovery. May Allah (Subḥānahu wa ta’āla  ) bless the souls of the victims, give patience to their families and successors and compensate them with reward and a better substitute in return in this world and in the Hereafter. I keep praying to the Lord of the universe that the next Eid should come round upon the troubled countrymen at a time when there is no war and the entire Afghans live together in peace, prosperity and brotherhood under the shade of national Islamic system. Brothers, with these few words on .the account of sacred Eid ul Adha, I would like to express my views and feelings on the recent changes and development

Eid ul Adha, a lesson of sacrifice to be benefited from Respected fellow countrymen

The blessed Eid ul Adha also known as greater Eid gives a lesson of sacrifice to the Muslims. Muslims all over the world celebrate ‘Eid-ul-Adha’, a day to commemorate the sacrificial act of Prophet Abraham, over the course of Eid-ul-Adha, Ibrahim (‘alaihi al-Salam) took his beloved son Ishmael, dearest to his heart and placed him on the ground for sacrifice to obey the command of Allah and seek His pleasure. Taking lesson from this great trial today we must, in the same way, demonstrate total submission to the command of Allah as a proof of complete obedience to the All-Powerful Lord’s will and orders. What are quoted in the Holy Quran for the Muslims are the direct words of advice from Allah (swt) aimed at helping the Muslims to learn from. The main purpose is to supply moral lesson and edification. Qasas-ul-Quran (various collections of stories quoted in the Quran), Akhbar-ul-Quran, Amsal-ul-Quran (Examples mentioned in the Quran), Al-Wa’d wa al-Wa’id ul Quran (the promise and the warning of Quran) and Amr bil Maroof wa Nahi ‘anil Munkar (Enjoining good and forbidding wrong) and the lessons in the entire Quran are meant to be powerful words of advice to Muslims and intended for the edification of us. Similarly, we must see the Quran as part of our daily life and apply it in our real life situations in order to win Allah’s pleasure and lead our life in accordance with the Divine commands and instructions. According to contemporary history, the people of the Afghan Momin nation have been laying their lives for the defense and freedom their country for more than a century. Over the last century, the invasion of Afghanistan by the two tyrant powers, the British Empire and the former Soviet Unions has been the toughest test the Afghans emerged from successfully. Once more, the Afghans have preserved their country’s independence by forcing the U.S. and its allies to pull out of Afghanistan. Only a smaller or limited number of foreign troops, like any other Muslim and non-Muslim foreign nationals, remained in Afghanistan who, according to them, have been .leftbehind to preserve their diplomatic and peace talks

Afghan politicians need to realize their responsibility towards national issue

The Afghan nation is obligated to make ultimate sacrifice for the sake of the defense of and freedom of the county. To preserve and ensure the independence and sovereignty resulting from this (sacrifice) remains the res sole possibility of the Afghan politicians and rulers as to what attitude they take towards the liberation achieved at the cost of much blood shed by millions of the people of our nation. Do they (the politicians) utilize the very independence for the betterment and welfare of the self-sacrificing nation? Do they exploit it for their own personal and material incentives and interests or use it for their interpersonal conflicts? Now that the foreign invaders led by U.S have withdrawn from Afghanistan for the last time due to unparalleled sacrifices,  at the expense of millions of losses of life and Afghanistan attained its independence, the Afghan politicians should, once again, strive to heal the breach and put their interpersonal differences behind and resolve their differences in appreciation for all the sacrifices made and continue to work for the implantation and stability of a system in Afghanistan in such a way as to lead to the nation’s inclusive prosperity and progress. If we fail to make better use of the great sacrifices made by our nation and lose the chance of stabilizing an inclusive intra-Afghan Islamic system, we would, in fact, betray all the innocent blood shed and the sacrifices made. We must never repeat and resort to the atrocious acts of .brutalitysuffered by our troubled nation at the hands of the enemy

We must avoid repeating brutalities inflicted by enemy

Over the past 37 years, our distressed and oppressed nation has suffered from the imposed war. The Afghan people have been brutally martyred, their houses flattened and they have been denied free life in their homes, villages, cities and abodes. Such atrocities have, however, been inflicted on the Afghan masses by the foreign occupying forces. The Afghan officials and authorities and, in particular, Mujahideen had better avoid repeating aggressions and atrocities parallel in kind and nature to the crimes, terror and destructions previously committed by the foreign invading troops. About a month and a half early, Kabul witnessed one of the bloodiest and most horrifying incidents in the Shah Shaheed neighborhood, making life of more than 500 defenseless civilians a misery and rendering most of them homeless. The devastating event leveled an entire strip of shops and dozens of homes and businesses, taking a heavy toll on hundreds of people. Such sort of violence and cruelties used to be inflicted on Afghans by foreign aggressors. Since the foreign forces have pulled out of our country, the Afghan side is to wipe the suffered nation’s tears and soothe away the hurt and worries, rather than resorting to a series of oppression and aggressions aimed at the grief-stricken nation even after withdrawal of the foreign troops, forcing the Afghan people into homelessness and bury them beneath the debris of their own houses and property. Shah Shaheed incident is an unforgivable crime in the sight of Allah Almighty as well as against the law no matter with what intention and by whom. May Allah keep our grieved countrymen from such disasters and devastating catastrophe

Protection of civilians remain Islamic & legal responsibility of sides concerned

The sides involved in war due to legal obligation as well as out of fear of Allah are duty-bound to protect the life and property of civilians. Unfortunately, our nation and country have long since taken the full brunt of imposed war. The sides concerned have to deem it their duty to ensure the safety and security of the civilians no matter how horrifying and devastating the war may be. They are to avoid enemy military operations, bombings and conflicts in thickly populated residential areas. During a period of armed conflict and the state of war, any civilian killed or injured even if unintentionally is a crime and the perpetrator is punishable by Sharia and law. Bombing out residential areas, military operations and planting landmines there have neither legal nor humanitarian justification. Similarly, the sides involved need to keep this fact in mind to avoid any act that leads to .the fatalities, causalities or harassment of defenseless civilians and noncombatants

Sides concerned in Afghan issue need to focus their efforts on ending conflict

The way things stand, the country’s security situations began to reach a critical and terrible point. No one feels safe and secure even at home.  Students at schools, workers and industrialists in factories, businessmen, employees and employers in the companies, organizations or offices, that is, everyone is unsafe and insecure no matter where they are. Such appalling conditions pose dangerous threats to the country with its future facing multiple challenges. With every passing day, tens of our countrymen lose their lives due interpersonal and internal conflicts and leave numerous problems behind them for their families. In such cases, the responsibility of continuation, cessation and termination of Afghan conflict is directed to the Afghan politicians. Similarly, both the prolongation and ending of the Afghan misery remain the responsibility of the Afghan politicians. With Afghan war further extending, the external destructive circles are more likely to have greater chances of interference in the internal affairs of Afghanistan which in itself may be the direct result of the Afghani politicians’ mutual and interpersonal differences and lack of harmony and coordination between them. As a result, we must put an end to the war and conflicts within our country as soon as possible and reduce the distance between ourselves, bridging our differences because interpersonal unity and integrity guarantee our success and survival and lack of unity and discord lead to misery and destruction. It is high time we reduced every distance and bridged the gap if we, the Afghans want to keep up with our neighbors and rest of the world, owning an advanced, flourished and prosperous country. Let us no longer lead our country to .destruction for our own interests and benefits

Practical rehabilitation services & infrastructure programs may be focused on

As anyone can observe, our county is placed in a state of extreme danger. The political and economic problems are escalating and the security conditions are deteriorating day by day. Hundreds young professionals lose their lives, public utility buildings and organization, and schools are flattened and the teens are deprived of education and knowledge in every corner of the country on the daily basis. Professionals, businessmen, cadre of experts, educational class, members of aristocracy and intellectual elites are on the run from the country. With each day that passes, hundreds of our countrymen, using risky sea and other human- trafficking routes, try to get to other developed countries of the world at the expense of their lives for their survival and livelihood. if war and conflicts turn into peace, reconciliation and stability our countrymen may not only lead an honorable life but also have better work opportunities, what is more, there may be even employment opportunities for foreigners wanting to work in Afghanistan from several  other countries as Afghanistan is rich in natural resources. Our country’s vast reserves of minerals and untapped natural gas are believed to be unlimited. It is an indisputable fact that the existing war in Afghanistan is the direct result of external interference and intervention. Let us repulse external influence and penetration within our country using Afghan national unity and solidarity. If our nation is to be equipped with the power of national unity and solidary, we are unlikely to be drawn into proxy war imposed and masterminded by others. We may have nearly zero chances of entanglement in external conflicts and plots. Hence, the cadre of educated class, men of learning and knowledge, and professionals would not be forced into migration from the country and the challenges and hardship of poverty and destitution would not face such a country as Afghanistan with unlimited natural resources and vast reserves of minerals and natural gas. It, too, is an undeniable fact that the essential basis of good fortunes, joys and prosperity is security and peace, and the root cause of the entire misery and adversity is war. It is proven that the security can be brought about by mutual and interpersonal unification of the nations. With all natural resources, men of learning and knowledge, intellectuals, cadre of educational and scientific experts and Professionals, the only thing we lack is the existence of peace and stability. It is for Afghan to establish stability and peace using interpersonal and mutual Afghan unity and understanding. Today if the peace and stability restore in Afghanistan, our brave nation may well get rid of all the problems, sufferings and conflicts. Let us smooth the paths for peace, security and solidity as peace and security result in success and salvation that lie in mutual agreement and harmony. If we wish to have a high standard of living in the same way as the most of the civilized people in the world, we, in the first place, have to establish peace through reciprocal agreement There is nothing to be gained, either in worldly life or in the Hereafter, from contradicting one another and using negative propaganda against each other in addition to killing each other except for contributing to losing hard-won gains of Afghans. In contrast, the enemy can use them for their own advantages and gains. It will really lead to stabilizing and solidifying our county’s foundation if the Afghan politicians and the sides concerned in issue put up with each other, come to an understanding and listen to each other. Strengthening the stability guarantees the nation’s wellbeing and peace and prosperity, resulting in the sovereignty of an autonomous system in our country. Finally, I pray to Allah Almighty for prosperity of the Muslim community, the autonomy of the country with permanent peace and stability in it. May Allah shower his mercy and blessings on the war-ravaged country of Afghans and make it one of most peaceful and secure countries in the world! May Allah ease the misery of and hardship of the troubled war-stricken Afghans and bless them with a prosperous, peaceful and advanced country! Ameen! Ya Rabbul-Alameen

Your brother, Mullah Mutasim Agha Jan, The former head of the political committee of Taliban’s Islamic movement
